Jesus Unveiled: Born Again for Eternal Life

John 3:1-8 (ESV)

It’s the question that Pastor Don never hesitates to ask: “Have you been born again?”

Some know immediately. Some hesitate. Some don’t even know what it means.

But here’s the truth: It’s the only question that matters.

You can be religious and still be lost

Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a scholar, a ruler—yet Jesus looked him in the eye and said, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Jesus didn’t sugarcoat it. He shattered everything Nicodemus thought he knew.

This wasn’t about church attendance, titles, or outward behavior. It was about transformation.

Without spiritual rebirth, we are spiritually dead

Ephesians 2:1 doesn’t say we’re struggling in sin. It says we’re dead in it.

You don’t need a second chance. You need resurrection.

You can try good works, religious rituals, even church membership—but if you haven’t been born again, you haven’t begun.

Being born again is a supernatural work of God

Titus 3:5 reminds us: "He saved us... by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit."

You can’t earn salvation. You can’t inherit it. You can’t will yourself into the Kingdom.

New birth is a miracle only God can do—but it requires a personal response.

You must respond

John 3:16 says "whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

Belief isn’t a box you check once. It’s surrender. It’s transformation. It’s rebirth.

You’re not saved by good intentions. You’re saved by grace, through faith, in Jesus Christ alone.

So the question remains: Have you truly been born again?
